Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GetExpanded website at www.getexpanded.org (the "Service") operated by 13738248 Canada Inc. ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. About GetExpanded

GetExpanded is a directory service operated by 13738248 Canada Inc. that connects people with healthcare providers specializing in:

Palatal expansion devices (RPE, MSE, MARPE, DOME, SARPE, FME, FMA)
Airway orthodontics and facial development
Jaw surgery and oral & maxillofacial surgery
Myofunctional therapy
Sleep medicine and sleep apnea treatment

Our platform includes a searchable provider directory, location and device pages, educational blog content, community resources, provider accounts with submission and claiming functionality, premium listing services, and a collaboration booking system.

IMPORTANT: GetExpanded is not a medical service provider and we are not doctors or medical professionals. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information provided on our website is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, palatal expansion, airway health, jaw development, sleep apnea, or any other health-related concerns. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on our website.

The providers listed in our directory are independent practitioners. We do not control their practices, methods, or outcomes. Any treatment decisions should be made in consultation with qualified medical professionals.

3. Directory Information and Verification

The information in our directory is collected from public sources and from direct submissions by providers and users. While we strive to ensure accuracy and reliability, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, or up-to-date, and we are not responsible for inaccuracies or omissions.

The "Verified" badge indicates that we have taken additional steps to confirm a provider's information. It does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of the provider's services, qualifications, or expertise.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Account Creation

Certain features, including the Provider Dashboard, require an account. Accounts use passwordless sign-in: we send a one-time code to your email address. When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Keep the email account you sign in with secure — anyone with access to your email can access your GetExpanded account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.2 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be inappropriate or harmful to other users or our Service.

5. Provider Dashboard and Listing Management

5.1 Claiming Listings

Providers may claim existing listings by submitting a claim request. Claims are verified through email domain matching or manual review, and each account may claim one listing. By claiming a listing, you represent and warrant that:

You are authorized to represent the provider or practice
The information you provide is accurate and complete
You have the authority to manage the listing on behalf of the provider

We reserve the right to reject or revoke claims at our discretion if we believe a claim is fraudulent or unauthorized.

5.2 Listing Content

When managing your listing, you are responsible for ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and lawful. You may not include content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or that infringes third-party rights. Credentials you list (education, certifications, continuing education) must be truthful and current.

6. Premium Listings and Subscriptions

6.1 Premium Features

Premium Listings include enhanced features such as a Premium badge, custom logo and banner, video embedding, social media links, education credentials, certifications, continuing education, age groups served, a custom FAQ section, and advanced listing analytics. Premium Listings are available for a monthly or yearly subscription fee.

6.2 Payment and Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor, Dodo Payments. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay all applicable fees for your subscription
Provide accurate and complete billing information
Authorize recurring charges to your payment method
Adhere to Dodo Payments' terms of service and privacy policy

6.3 Subscription Management and Refunds

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the customer portal in the Provider Dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable; we may provide refunds at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

6.4 Promotional Premium Periods

We may offer promotional Premium periods at no charge (for example, as part of a claim invitation). At the end of a promotional period, the listing reverts to a free listing unless a paid subscription begins. Promotional offers do not create an entitlement to continued free Premium features and may be modified or withdrawn at our discretion.

6.5 Premium Badge Disclaimer

The Premium badge indicates that a provider has enhanced listing features. It does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or verification of the provider's qualifications, and it does not affect search result placement or ranking.

7. Provider Submissions

Submitting provider information requires a verified account. Submissions are reviewed before being added to the directory. By submitting provider information, you represent and warrant that:

The information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge
You have the right to submit the information
The submission does not violate any applicable laws or infringe third-party rights
You understand that submissions are reviewed and may take time to process

We reserve the right to review, edit, or reject any submission and to remove any provider information from our directory at any time for any reason.

8. Collaboration Bookings

8.1 Booking and Scheduling

Providers with an account may request a recording session (a "Collaboration") with one of our hosts through the booking system. All requests are subject to our review and approval; requested times — including custom time requests — are not guaranteed until confirmed. Approved sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled using the manage link in your confirmation email. We may cancel or reschedule a session at any time.

8.2 Recording and Promotion Consent

Collaborations are recorded using the Riverside platform. By booking a Collaboration, you grant 13738248 Canada Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to record the session and to use, edit, publish, and promote the recording — together with your name, likeness, biography, photos, and the links you provide — on our website, social channels, and marketing materials. You represent that you have the right to grant this license for any materials you submit. No compensation is owed for this use unless separately agreed in writing.

8.3 Coordination and Guests

You consent to being added to a WhatsApp group chat to coordinate the Collaboration. If you add additional guests to a booking, you confirm that each guest has agreed to participate, to receive related emails and calendar invitations, and to the recording and promotion terms above.

9. Listing Analytics

We collect and provide analytics to help providers understand listing performance (impressions, profile views, and — for Premium subscribers — website clicks, social clicks by platform, traffic sources, and visitor regions). Analytics data is retained for 24 months, after which it may be aggregated or deleted, and is used solely to provide insights to providers and improve our services.

10. Email Communications

We send transactional and notification emails (sign-in codes, submission and claim decisions, booking confirmations and reminders, subscription notices) that are required for the Service and cannot be opted out of. Marketing emails are optional, sent only with your opt-in consent, and can be unsubscribed from at any time without affecting transactional messages. We may also contact providers at publicly available business addresses to invite them to claim their listing; such outreach includes an opt-out.

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Service:

To scrape, harvest, or collect data from our website using automated means
To copy, reproduce, or redistribute our directory content without permission
To submit false, misleading, or inaccurate provider information
To fraudulently claim listings you are not authorized to manage
To book Collaborations under false identity or on behalf of someone without authority
To create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations or laws
To infringe upon our intellectual property rights or those of others
To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
To upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code
To attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data

12. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of 13738248 Canada Inc. and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, republish, download, store, or transmit material from our Service without our prior written consent, except as permitted by these Terms.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our Service links to provider websites and integrates with third-party services including Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Hetzner (hosting), Dodo Payments (payments), Resend (email), Google Calendar (booking invitations), Riverside (recording), WhatsApp (coordination), and Discord (community).

13738248 Canada Inc. has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services, and shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with your use of them.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We comply with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including PIPEDA.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If you have an active Premium subscription, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless terminated for violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) survive.

16. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall 13738248 Canada Inc., nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service
Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
Any content obtained from the Service
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
Any errors or omissions in provider information
Any decisions made based on information found on our Service
Any issues arising from payment processing, subscription management, or bookings

17. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province in which 13738248 Canada Inc. operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
