Mission & Disclaimer
Our commitment to transparency, education, and connecting patients with the right providers
Our Mission
GetExpanded was created to fill a gap: there wasn't a simple, accessible way for patients and families to discover providers focused on airway health, expansion, and facial development. Too often, people are left searching through scattered, outdated sources of information without clear guidance. Our mission is to change that by building the first dedicated, global directory and community for this field.
Why We Exist
We believe patients deserve access to accurate information, trusted providers, and a supportive community. Expansion, jaw development, and airway-focused care can be life-changing — but navigating your options is not easy. Providers vary widely in their training, experience, and philosophy, and not every approach is right for every patient.
That's why we're building a platform that puts the information in your hands. Every provider listed here is added through data collection, community submissions, or direct outreach. Over time, we're personally verifying listings by contacting offices to confirm their services.
A Note on Providers
It's important to understand: not all providers are equal.
Some specialize in devices like MSE, MARPE, or FME. Others may focus on traditional orthodontics, surgical options, or alternative therapies. Their approaches, results, and philosophies can differ significantly.
This site is a starting point, not a guarantee. A listing here does not mean a provider is the right fit for you. It's ultimately your responsibility to ask questions, research thoroughly, and decide what's best for your unique situation.
What Does "Verified" Mean?
When you see a verified badge next to a provider's name, it means we have personally contacted their office to confirm:
- The accuracy of their listing information (location, contact details, etc.)
- That they actually provide the specific appliances and treatments listed on their profile
This verification process helps ensure the information you see is current and accurate. However, verification does not constitute an endorsement of their services or guarantee of treatment outcomes. Always do your own research and consult directly with any provider before making treatment decisions.
Tooth-borne expanders have no scientific evidence of effectiveness in adults and often teenagers. For that reason, they are not recommended as a solution for skeletal expansion in older patients. We only list providers who use these devices so that parents seeking treatment for their children can be aware of all available options.
GetExpanded is an educational resource and community. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information here should never replace the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals. Always confirm directly with any provider before beginning treatment.
A Personal Note
I'm a student, currently undergoing treatment myself, and I started this project because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to find the right path. This site is funded out-of-pocket and built to help others who are on the same journey.
Every suggestion, provider request, or piece of feedback makes this stronger. Together, we're building a resource for patients everywhere — one that's transparent, community-driven, and growing every day.
Thank you for being here at the start.
